North East Security Services believe strongly in protecting what's important, not only for your personnel and business assets, but also considering the bigger picture of looking after those in our community that are doing it tough.
Carevan Program
North East Security Services is proud to be a major supporter of the Carevan Wangaratta program. Carevan is a registered not-for-profit organisation that utilises an unpaid committee plus a team of local volunteers who, since February 2011, deliver meals three times a week in Wangaratta. These wholesome meals are for people within our local community who may be either homeless or due to family and financial pressures are struggling to provide food for themselves and often their families.
Besides delivering meals on a regular basis the Carevan Wangaratta Inc. Board partners whenever possible with local community agencies like Anglicare, Loaves & Fishes – Christians Caring, Borinya School, Junction Support Services, Wangaratta High School, The Centre, and Gateway Health to promote awareness about important subjects like anti-poverty, homelessness plus the benefits of healthy eating
The Wangaratta Carevan does not receive any formal financial funding other than random donations of mainly food and sometimes financial assistance from local community groups, or our business leaders.

Community Camera Program
To assist in further protecting our local community whilst in the public forum, North East Cameras offers all new CCTV clients that have a commercial premises within the Wangaratta CBD district the opportunity to contribute to a community based CCTV initiative designed to record events outside in the public area of their establishment. If there has been criminal activity or unacceptable behaviour in that area, the digital information stored on their NVR will be made available to the Security and/or Police services. This digital information captured along with digital information captured on any other businesses NVR unit located in that vicinity, may provide the facts relating to the reported event.
For this program to work North East Security Services will cable, supply and install an additional weather and vandal-proof, High Resolution, IP, colour, Dome Camera at NO COST. This surveillance camera is fitted to view the street scape in front of that commercial business.
Benefits to the Community
- Act as a community service to monitor and record general public activity along your street therefore collecting information that may be used by authorities to collate evidence against poor social behaviour and or any criminal activity.
- When the digital video information collected from this community based service is linked to surveillance systems from other community focused traders, only then can we start to take control of our streets against unacceptable behaviour or illegal activity.
Street Cam Program
In partnership with Rural City of Wangaratta and Victoria Police
North East Security Services believe strongly in protecting what's important, not only by providing electronic security solutions for its local, regional and metropolitan clients, but believe that it must be also a good corporate citizen and assist with the bigger picture when it comes to looking after the welfare and safety of its local community members.
North East Security Services is supporting the local Safe Streets program in Wangaratta by providing a trial camera in the main street of Wangaratta.
